"The 14th Annual Virginia Covered Bridge Festival, a proud 2018 partner of The Crooked Road’s Mountain of Music Homecoming, will showcase the historic Jack's Creek Covered Bridge and the Woolwine community as a whole. Events include two stages of live musical entertainment, mule and horse drawn wagon rides, a 5-K run, historical displays and re-enactments, a 'duck race' in the Smith River, entertainment for children, and food, craft, artisan and vendors. Live musical performances can be heard throughout the day at both covered bridge areas. Although the community lost The Bob White Covered Bridge in the 2015 flood, the festival continues to celebrate the history of both area Covered Bridges. The festival benefits from inclusion in MoMH as travelers from across the US and around the world come to celebrate and participate in our culture. We promote ""Experience the Simple Life"" with our Patrick County Tourism. History buffs enjoy the Covered Bridge, the Sons of Confederate Veterans displays and the old-time wagon rides!
