"Supper & Songwriters of Appalachia" will feature wonderful traditional dishes of local foods prepared by Clean Eats, LLC. Join us for a magical evening of original songs performed by three award-winning songwriters who are natives of Appalachia. Abingdon native Kelsey Rae calls Nashville her home now. She has performed at various venues in our area, including Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, Birthplace of Country Music Reunion, Barter Theatre January Jams and also in Nashville. She was the overall winner of the Richard Leigh Songwriters Contest in 2015 with her song "This Old Town." Kelsey Rae's first recording "Fortune Teller' includes "This Old Town" and other original songs. Adam "Bovine" Bolt, commonly known as The Abingdon Troubadour, was the front man for the Virginia Rock Band, The Ordinary Bitters and has led several projects from incubation to hatchlings. There is no comparison to Bolt's highly acclaimed songwriting. Bolt connects to his audience through common emotions through humor, sadness, and empathy. Bolt describes his music as "Sensationalized, Cynical, and Seasoned Songs in the Key of Country", and his live performance will have you Laughing, Crying, Singing, and Dancing. Bolt currently lives in Abingdon, VA and is constantly working on new music as an independent artist. He has opened for many international touring acts, New Riders of the Purple Stage, Unknown Hinson, John Moreland, JP Harris, Apache Relay, Shonna Tucker and many others. David Ledgerwood is a West Virginia native who has lived in Glade Spring for 13 years. "Glory Bound" and "Daddy's Light" won first place in the bluegrass category at the Richard Leigh Songwriters Festival two years in a row. Other award winning songs are "Do the Best You Can" and "You're the Only One." David and his wife Ann have two recordings "Face the Wind" and "Alleluia-An Acoustic Christmas." David is currently working on a new project of original songs that will hopefully be released in 2018.  BACK TO ALL EVENTS
