these are events highlighting the local nature of Narrows, Virginia on the new river: Thursday evening our regular jam session at the Macarthur Inn with country dinner 5:30 till 9:00 pm; Saturday 1200pm till 1:00pm old time gospel music and strings with Eldon Justice and band ; Jim Costa banjo rendition and workshop of Uncle Dave Macon music 1:15 pm till 2:15 pm ; 2:30 - 3:30 pm Dept of Agriculture representative lecture and photo display of the Narrows, Virginia Peter's Mountain Mallow (the rarest and most endangered wild flower on the face of the earth) ; 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm Ralph Robertson gives kayaking demonstration and rollover lessons at the duck pond; Henry Reed music workshop 3:30pm till 4:30 pm Teababy Reed: 4:30 till 6:00 pm Old time mountain music jam session with flat foot competitions of three age groups with trophies; Right Turn Clyde (local micro brewery will sponsor country cooking cookoff 6:00 pm till 9:00 with string music and sample tastings of their premier beers.
