You have a shovel, a field, and a lot of unemployed boys. What do you do? You clear the way and create a lake! At least in 1936, the Civilian Conservation Corps members did, at what is now Hungry Mother State Park. Many of the original CCC structures are still in use today. Find out the history of this beautiful park as you hike a short portion of one of its most popular trails. Join an Interpreter as they walk you through history. Meet at Parking Lot 6.
